We have incorporated them into eight executive programmes that we offer both open and in-company. Most consist of two blocks of one or two days each, in between participants apply insights and methods to the strategic challenges of their own organisation. Incompany programmes can be adapted or expanded in consultation with clients. They are often part of leadership and management education programmes or form the starting point or component of a scenario or strategy project. Scenario analysis is a powerful method for thinking through the strategic implications of different directions in which the future may develop. The programme introduces participants to the practice and principles of scenario thinking in order to explore the future with relevant and challenging future scenarios and define strategy and policy.

 Disruptive transitions change industries and markets radically, sometimes in a short period of time. Participants learn to use future mapping and scenario analysis to anticipate the direction and speed at which transitions can develop and to design dynamic strategies and strategic transformations to successfully respond to them along the way.

Future Mapping of Transitions


Future mapping combines the power of different methods to foresee the future of a sector or market in a structured way in the short and medium term (3 to 7 years ahead). In the programme, participants apply future mapping to accurately map and analyse transitions and market developments in the medium-term, monitor future forces, and generate strategic options.
